No, they’re questions to determine how involved you are in Western foreign policy.
With Iran. We’re not operating here in isolation.
But sure, if you’re interested in speaking politics, then please qualify with Western bloc. Because, for all intents and purposes, we’re part of the modern West, whether we want to be or not.
Here’s Wikipedia on the topic. Note that Latin America is light blue, not blue. Also Western Bloc is a cold-war term that’s not used today for the most part.
Literally the first thing I checked after your first message, and I did check with other sources as well. We’re in the West whether we want to or not.
E: And I also want to add that your “what has your country done recently” is puzzling because we’re seeing some good changes happening for the better, and after so long. We’re the only Western country that I know to have held a democratic vote on its entire judicial branch as a direct measure by our madam president for fighting entrenched corruption and nepotism. The result has been surprisingly positive, and I consider it a good move regardless of the ideological differences that I have with the new Courts. I may not get my legal weed plants anytime soon, but I’m all in for transparency and better governance. We seem to be flying under the radar, even though we’ve been upholding the values of the Western world to make every bleeding heart Midwestern liberal proud (and yet somehow, we’re still not quite ever good enough for Canada, ffs 😂).
