Not caring about the world around you and who makes the laws in your life is certainly one way to live.

If the government told me I could not legally be with the person I love I would reject it and fight. Just being like “ok guess I have to accept that I can’t be with the person I love” is just crazy in my mind.

As I said. Your boss and landlord will vote. You can trust them to represent your interests. Clearly.
