Even in the 16bit era International Superstar Soccer was a better game than FIFA.

Meaning nobody who wrote code looked at the original code. One person or group examines the software and writes the specifications and another group implements the specification without the teams interacting with each other. And usually a lawyer has to be involved and review the specification. The separation of teams is called the “Chinese Wall”
And depending on interpretation of the law if the people writing code used a decompiler that can be seen as breaching the “Chinese Wall” since the implementation is then not based solely on the specification but based on the original code.

It’s management that doesn’t want to give the developers the time and money to optimize their game. Devs know how to optimize their game, they aren’t stupid. They can’t do shit if they don’t get the time to work on it.
Also
So, ports like Stellar Blade on PC are great for fans to see, and I’m hoping game developers and publishers can look at this as a template going forward.
Yeah that’s not how it works, you can’t look at other games and see how to optimize your game. Every game engine and game works differently under the hood.

UN Women sounds the alarm over online misogynyEnglish235·4 days agoProblems is also that you can’t help people that don’t want to be helped. Since accepting help means for these young men that they have to accept that they themselves are partially to blame for their situation. Yes society has failed them but they have failed themselves as well. They have to own up to their own failures and not just put all the blame on the rest of the world.
I know some young men that haven’t gone full mgtow manosphere yet. And even at that point it’s hard to help them. When you reach out they basically reject it. You can basically see in their eyes that they rather want to stay in the bubble and gaslight themselves than to accept the truth and get help. It’s much easier to blame everyone else than to take responsibility.

Netherlands and Germany imported a ton of laborers from North Africa and Turkey after WW2. But they literally only let the equivalent of redneck hillbillies in, since they were cheaper than educated urbanites. Germany and Netherlands needed cheap labor to rebuild after the war, but they wanted the cheapest of the cheapest. So most of them were illiterate subsistence farmers. And everyone thought that they would go back home after a few years so no efforts were made to integrate these people. And even if they tried they failed since these people weren’t very smart. Like seriously I’ve seen people who live here in Europe for longer than they lived in their country of birth and still can’t string a proper sentence together in the language of the country they live in. Not to mention most are religiously conservative and conservatives are not known to be openminded which makes it hard to integrate them.
Lo and behold two generations later the descendants of these migrants are overrepresented in the jobless, school dropout and crime stats.
